Welcome to the Law Offices of Paul G. Vick

I would like to begin by expressing my thanks for your visiting the online home of the Law Offices of Paul G. Vick and for your taking an interest in our firm.  I will begin with an initial overview of the firm’s background, certifications and expertise in order to help familiarize you with our law practice.

Since 1995, our offices have been dedicated to serving central Texans and obtaining just verdicts for both commercial entities and individuals in labor-employment disputes, and civil, oil and gas, insurance, business and commercial litigation. With law offices located in both San Antonio and Fredericksburg, we offer both a unique flexibility and unmatched knowledge of the surrounding court systems and legal landscape. I am approved by the Bexar County District Court system as a mediator/arbitrator, and I am licensed to practice in both State and Federal Courts, including the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

In 1997, I completed the Attorney-Mediator Institute’s Mediator Training Program; and in 2010 I completed Advanced Mediator Training. As an approved mediator, I have mediated hundreds of cases and my education and experience provide ample qualification in settling disputes between parties.

I graduated from the University of North Texas in July of 1981. In September of 1984 I obtained an MBA from Amber University while being employed full-time with  Arco Oil and Gas Company; I then pursued a legal education. In May of 1990, I graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law as a Doctor of Jurisprudence while serving as a member of the law school Board of Advocates.

Early in my career, I obtained a successful jury verdict on behalf of a commercial real estate broker over a commission dispute that was later upheld by the Texas Supreme Court. My experience and success in dealing with the Texas Supreme Court does not end there, however. Our office later obtained a favorable ruling from the Texas Supreme Court regarding fraudulent misrepresentations by a major health insurance provider, resulting in a confidential settlement for my clients.

In 2007, we obtained a $1.35 million jury verdict against a municipality on behalf of a small business owner who had contracted with the city and subsequently suffered abuse of process violations. In 2013, we obtained a jury verdict in state district court in Dallas County, Texas which was the second largest age discrimination verdict in the State of Texas that year.

In summary, over the course of my 29-year career, I’ve developed a unique skill set to include advanced mediation training and twenty-nine years of litigation and employment law experience. I have served as mediator and mediated on behalf of clients in hundreds of mediations.   The course of my law practice has included multiple appeals to Texas appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court, as well as numerous jury and non-jury trials in both federal and state courts.  We have also represented parties in arbitration, as well as serving as an arbitrator.  I hope you will find my experience and unique qualifications to be a match for your legal needs, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Paul Vick
